If you’re going to being staying in Sydney for a while, you’ll probably need to get a job. Lucky for you, Sydney is the perfect city to base yourself for a working holiday in Australia. While you live in Sydney, you can work, save up some dough, and then go explore the rest of the country. Make sure you visit Byron Bay, before you even think about leaving the state. There are plenty of jobs here. A lot of travellers get work in pubs, cafes and shops. Depending on your skills, you won’t have much trouble finding work - especially once you make some friends who can point you in the right direction, or even hook you up with their bosses!
Alex Adams aka Ms Darlinghurst is a walking encyclopaedia of local knowledge, especially when it comes to food and drink. As the founder of the popular website Eat Drink Play, Ms Darlinghurst has turned uncovering, reviewing and sharing her restaurant and bar finds into an art. She hosts monthly get-togethers called Secret Foodies, in which food-obsessed peeps get taken on a mystery date to an obscure and always-amazing joint. Here, she shares her best finds.

The Hours are a Sydney-based street art collective made up of artists Marty Routledge, Beastman and Numskull. Famous in their own right for their unique painting styles, their art is shown across galleries and public walls across the world. The Hours collaborate on a range of creative projects, which they document on their site The Opening Hours. We caught up with the guys at Semi-Permanent Sydney, where they had a chat with us about the state of Sydney street art, and their favourite places to check out around town.

London is a lot more than the Big Ben and old buildings. For some epic shopping hop off the Covent Garden tube and head straight to Earlham St. This one street can keep you occupied all day, with street-wear, vintage, music and design book stores all within a 5 min stroll. Definitely more male-biased but there’s enough there to keep the ladies happy. Get shopping people!
MTV has scored LA for the best things to do in Hollywood and beyond. We hit up the guys at You Knew Blog to give us the heads up on what’s rad in LA. Check it out!
